# Monitoring payments in the Dashboard

> Monitor Flinks Pay EFT and e-Transfer activity from the Dashboard, switch between sandbox and live, and understand what the payment views show.

The **Payments** section of the Dashboard is a monitoring surface for [Flinks Pay](/guides/pay/getting-started). It shows the payments your integration creates through the API, so your team can track status, review schedules and agreements, and download settlement reports without querying the API directly.

<Note>
  The Dashboard is for monitoring. You initiate payments through the Flinks Pay API, not from the Dashboard. See [Send and receive money](/guides/pay/send-and-receive-money) and the [EFT](/guides/pay/eft/setup-flinks-pay) and [e-Transfer](/guides/pay/e-transfer/setup-flinks-pay) setup guides.
</Note>

## Enabling Payments

The Payments section appears only when Flinks Pay is enabled for your instance. To enable it, contact your Flinks Representative or Relationship Manager.

Once enabled, access to the Payments section is limited to the **Owner**, **Admin**, and **Payments Agent** roles. **Payments Agent** is a dedicated role, available only when Flinks Pay is enabled, for team members who work with payments only. The Developer, Agent, and Sales roles do not see the Payments section. To invite members and assign roles, see [Team management](/guides/dashboard/team-management).

## Sandbox and live

Payments has its own environment toggle, separate from the Dashboard environment selector. Enable it before you go live so you can review simulated activity first.

1. Navigate to **Settings** > **Payments**.
2. Turn on **Sandbox Mode**.

While Sandbox Mode is on, a **You are in Sandbox Mode** banner appears across the Payments views, and any payments shown are simulations that are never processed. Turn Sandbox Mode off to monitor live payments.

<Note>
  The Sandbox Mode toggle stays disabled until your instance has a production payment client configured.

## What the payment views show

Keep the following in mind when reading the payment views:

* **Completed journeys only.** The Dashboard shows sessions that reached a scheduled transaction. It does not surface incomplete sessions where the customer dropped off mid-flow.
* **EFT and Guaranteed EFT together.** Both settle through the same views with the same layout. The distinction is handled by Flinks Pay at settlement, not in the Dashboard.
